Sustainability Compliance Manager
Equans is recruiting for a Sustainability Compliance Manager to be based in either Wath upon Dearne in South Yorkshire, Nottingham, or Coleshill in Birmingham. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview
Working alongside the Director of Sustainability, the main purpose of this role is to manage the PAS 2030:2023 and MCS Accreditations for the business, ensuring best practice implementation of the standards on all domestic energy efficiency schemes and management of the in-house compliance team.
To understand, implement, and adhere to the company SHEQ policy/strategy and ensure all employees reporting to you do the same and being responsible for ensuring that SHEQ requirements are upheld to the highest of standards at all times.
What Will You Deliver?
- Work closely with the Regional Senior Management Team and Business Development Team to identify opportunities for EQUANS around retrofit, leading and supporting on client needs around Energy Efficiency Works
- Manage the regional Sustainability Compliance Team in order to support wider business objectives on growth and delivery of schemes
- Provide guidance and support to operational teams ensuring all Retrofit schemes are delivered in line with funding and technical compliance i.e. PAS 2030:2023, PAS 2035:2023, MCS etc, working closely with Central Sustainability Team to ensure compliance.
- Be the ‘regional expert’ on Energy Efficiency standards, ensuring the Senior Leadership Teams are kept up to date on market opportunities to drive the Business Plan
- Manage and maintain PAS 2030:2023 and MCS Accreditations, managing relationships with certification bodies to maintain Equans accreditations, whilst implementing best practice delivery
- Manage, implement, and deliver PAS 2030:2023 and MCS Quality Management processes
- Produce regular management reports to the wider Sustainability Team and Regional Delivery Team of compliance progress against site production, identifying any performance issues against key business KPI’s

Who Are We Looking For?
- Educated to degree level in construction or environmental qualification
- Experience of sustainability and retrofit management, including best and common practice
- Experience of Energy Company Funding or Government Funding relating to Energy Efficiency works
- Up to date knowledge and experience of relevant standards and systems applicable to PAS, MCS etc
- Minimum of 5 years relevant construction/retrofit sector experience
- Experience of managing a team
- Experience of operating at a senior management level
