About the Role
We are seeking a Sustainability Consultant – Carbon & Net Zero to join a leading sustainability consultancy, supporting organisations with corporate carbon accounting, Net Zero strategy and decarbonisation planning. This is a client-facing consulting role where you'll work with a diverse portfolio of organisations, helping them measure, report and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions while developing practical, commercially focused Net Zero strategies. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality carbon accounting projects, producing assurance-ready outputs and working closely with clients to translate complex data into meaningful business insights.

Job Responsibilities
- Deliver corporate carbon footprints across Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions.
- Build and quality-assure GHG inventories in line with the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064-1.
- Support the development of Net Zero roadmaps and carbon reduction strategies.
- Analyse emissions data and produce client-ready reports, presentations and audit trails.
- Support SECR, CDP, Carbon Reduction Plans and SBTi submissions.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and manage client data collection.
- Research and assess decarbonisation opportunities across energy, travel, fleet and supply chains.
- Support proposal writing and technical input for new client opportunities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal tools, templates and methodologies.
- Keep up to date with evolving carbon accounting standards and climate reporting requirements.

Requirements
- Experience in corporate carbon accounting, Net Zero consulting or sustainability consulting.
- Strong knowledge of Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 greenhouse gas reporting.
- Experience applying the GHG Protocol and/or ISO 14064-1.
- Understanding of Net Zero strategies, decarbonisation planning and climate mitigation.
- Familiarity with reporting frameworks such as SECR, CDP, SBTi, IFRS S2 or CSRD.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with experience working with large datasets.
- Excellent written communication and report writing skills.
- Confident presenting technical information to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience within sustainability consultancy or a client-facing environment is highly desirable.
