Sustainability Coordinator – Industrial & Logistics Construction
Location: Gerrards Cross (80% site-based, 20% office/home flexibility)
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 + Package
A leading construction contractor specialising in major industrial and logistics projects is seeking a proactive Sustainability Coordinator to join their team in Solihull. This role plays a key part in driving sustainability performance and supporting the delivery of environmentally responsible projects across the region.
The successful candidate will work closely with site teams, clients, and external partners to ensure sustainable construction practices are embedded throughout each project. With the majority of your time spent on live construction sites, you will play an active role in ensuring sustainability objectives and compliance requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of sustainability and environmental objectives across industrial and logistics projects
- Assist with environmental audits, site inspections, and reporting to ensure compliance with legislation and internal standards
- Help deliver project sustainability frameworks such as BREEAM, LEED, and other certification schemes
- Support waste reduction, carbon management, resource efficiency, and sustainable procurement initiatives
- Maintain accurate sustainability records, documentation, and performance reporting
- Engage with site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to embed sustainable practices and drive awareness
- Assist in training and development sessions on sustainability requirements and best practice
- Monitor and report on key project environmental KPIs

Requirements
- Previous experience in a sustainability or environmental role within the construction sector (industrial/logistics experience desirable)
- Knowledge of environmental management and sustainability certification frameworks relevant to construction
- Relevant qualifications or working towards accreditations such as BREEAM, LEED, IEMA, or CEnv
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work across multiple sites independently with strong organizational skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to continual improvement
