Sustainability Manager-12-month maternity cover contract
Sustainability Manager (Maternity Cover Role)
This 12-month maternity cover position will provide leadership to support and advance the company’s sustainability activities. The role will ensure progress on key sustainability projects, reduce environmental impact, support reporting, and collaborate across teams to embed responsible business practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support the company’s sustainability plans and targets
- Monitor progress on carbon, energy, water, waste and resource use
- Collect and analyse sustainability data for reporting
- Prepare internal updates and support ESG reporting requirements
- Work with operations, procurement, supply chain, and other teams to improve sustainability performance
- Support sustainable sourcing and supplier engagement activities
- Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact and improve efficiency
- Keep up to date with relevant environmental regulations and sustainability standards
- Promote sustainability awareness and engagement across the business

Experience and Qualification
- Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Engineering, or a related subject
- Experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental management, or corporate responsibility
- Useful: Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, fragrance, chemicals, or a similar industry
- Strong understanding of sustainability reporting, carbon reduction, and environmental compliance
- Strong data analysis, project management, and communication skills
- Relevant professional qualification would be advantageous
