Sustainability Manager Trowbridge £50,000 – £60,000 + Package
We are working with a leading international construction and engineering business specialising in complex, high-specification environments including advanced manufacturing, logistics, data centres, and life sciences

This is an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Manager to take a leading role in driving sustainability strategy across a diverse portfolio of projects.
The Role
As Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for leading and implementing sustainability and ESG initiatives across multiple construction projects. You will play a key role in embedding sustainable practices across the full project lifecycle — from design and procurement through to delivery — ensuring compliance, innovation, and measurable environmental performance. This is a strategic and hands-on role, requiring the ability to balance sustainability objectives with commercial and programme demands while working closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities • Lead the development and delivery of sustainability strategies across UK projects • Set, monitor, and report on measurable sustainability and ESG targets • Integrate sustainability into design, procurement, and construction phases • Provide technical guidance on environmental standards and certifications (e.g. BREEAM, LEED, WELL) • Review sustainability plans, environmental assessments, and project performance • Engage with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners to align sustainability goals • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and internal management systems (including ISO14001) • Collect and analyse sustainability data to support reporting and continuous improvement • Promote innovative construction methods, materials, and technologies • Support and develop sustainability capability across project teams
About You • Degree qualified in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline • 5+ years’ experience in sustainability within the construction or built environment sector • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, policy, and ESG frameworks • Experience with sustainability certifications such as BREEAM, LEED, or similar • Understanding of whole-life carbon, energy strategies, and environmental impact assessments • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities • Experience contributing to or leading sustainability initiatives in a fast-paced environment

Desirable • Professional membership (e.g. IEMA, IES or similar) • ISO14001 / ISO9001 auditing experience • Knowledge of LCA / LCC methodologies • Experience leading or mentoring sustainability professionals
