Job Title: Sustainability & Operations Analyst (startup)

About Us:
We are transforming the baby industry from a linear model into the UK’s most effective circular waste stream. By developing proprietary AI software, we bridge the gap between the purchase and disposal of baby clothes, offering convenience, rewards, and transparency to busy parents. We sell our own essential baby items while rewarding customers for returning used clothing—from any brand—which we then channel into four circular streams: resale, recycling, redesign, and donation. Having proven our hypothesis that baby waste can be an efficient resource, and having successfully built a robust revenue model through our 'Baby Basics' brand. We are perfectly positioned for growth and seeking a dedicated team member to help us reach our seed funding milestone this year.
You will be great at this role if:

- You are happy to get your hands dirty and support our warehouse associates where needed, while always having an eye on the future to develop strategies to improve the business.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Project manage our Photo Recognition Initiative, the pilot project with our Tech lead. Being the bridge from technology to operations to drive adoption.
- Clothing Sorting Analysis: Run and analyse the sorting process for collected clothing items and manage the development of our preloved box, scaling from 1000 to 5000 items per month and bring down process time to sub 20 seconds.
- Partnership Management: Work with our 12 nursery partners in London to develop partnership activities and coordinate monthly collection drives.
- CRM Management: Oversee the customer experience for our send-back program, aiming for a 50% return rate of clothing purchased.
- Data Analysis: Use data insights to create strategies for the best revenue opportunities from collected items, as well as engage potential recyclers and upcycle designers. Turn insights into action and impact reports.
- Sales Channel Management: Manage our Shopify stock levels, forecasting demand to match and recognise opportunities targeting £15k/ tonne.

Skill Set:
- Basic understanding of AI and a strong desire to learn and implement related tools.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to making a positive impact.
- Strong ability to articulate ideas and strategies, with a willingness to test and execute them.
- Highly proficient in numerical skills for conducting comparative analyses and identifying opportunities.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and an understanding of customer needs.
- A hands-on, proactive attitude aimed at achieving measurable results.
- Candidates must be located in London and hold a valid driving license.
