At RY, we're building one of the best project management teams in the communications sector, and we're looking for an ambitious, organised Project Manager to join our Sustainability team.

As a Sustainability Project Manager, you embody collaboration and competence in all areas of project and programme management.
You are an expert in planning, managing and implementing complex work, whilst building positive team cultures, facilitating communication, and managing the quality and profitability of our work to the highest standards. You’ll need to demonstrate this with evidence to be considered for the role.
Our successful candidate will need to have a genuine interest in, and passion for, sustainability and its role in the business world.
Responsibilities include
- Leading the delivery of projects, from scoping and costs estimation, to initiation, through to production, QA and wash up
- Ensuring visual and written content quality, as well as technical quality across all deliverables to meet our standards and client expectations
- Coordinating teams of 5-10 people
- Collaborating with strategic, creative, production, digital and film teams as well as internal workflow, finance, studio and business development teams, ensuring all members of project teams know their role and what is expected of them
- Managing all project communications, meetings and workshops, preparing agendas and meeting minutes
- Creating detailed project and workstream plans
- Owning scoping and statements of work, in collaboration with creative and consulting leads
- Assessing client, team, methodology, timing, budget and quality related risks, and identifying and implementing smart solutions
- Ensuring timesheets and resourcing are accurate and actively managed
- Defining and managing project governance, and ensuring all deliverables are reviewed as appropriate
- Mitigating against risks and tracking issues, escalating concerns to client management colleagues and senior-level project management before they become critical
- Maintaining robust project financial governance – ensuring that payment plans, billing, POs and client financial information are accurate and completed on time
- Producing regular reconciliations and status reports for the client

Project management expertise
- A solid project manager with previous PM experience, ideally working in a design agency, strategic consultancy or equivalent role in a client organisation
- A well organised and logical thinker
- Obsessed about the quality of outputs and outcomes
- A good balance of IQ and EQ, someone who is believable and a ‘safe pair of hands’
- Experienced in scoping different types of strategic and creative work, writing proposals, SoWs and change requests, and taking ownership of them
- Experience of working on reporting production with an understanding of managing platforms such as Workiva and CtrlPrint would be advantageous

- An exceptional eye for detail, proactively flagging mistakes or when work goes off-brief
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- An expert in enabling a smooth and tailored delivery experience for everyone involved
Commercially savvy
- Competent in managing project governance from set-up to implementation
- Commercially savvy with experience in tracking and managing financials
Passion for corporate sustainability
- Passionate about corporate sustainability, with a demonstrable interest and knowledge in corporate sustainability issues
- An understanding of, or proven interest in, sustainability reporting, strategy and engagement
- You’re have tonnes of energy and are enthusiastic about the positive contribution business can make to environment and society
