Sustainability Reporting Specialist

Job Title: Sustainability Reporting Specialist

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time Salary Range: ~£60,000 (depending on experience) Location: Eastleigh, hybrid working Travel: One day per month in Eastleigh + business-based travel as required

About the Role

At Ageas UK, we’re seeking a dynamic Sustainability Reporting Specialist to join a small, impact-driven team during a critical phase of integration. In this broad and strategic role, you’ll:

  • Shape ESG data, reporting, and governance across a complex, UK-wide organisation.
  • Drive high-quality, audit-ready sustainability reporting to meet regulatory and stakeholder demands.
  • Influence processes from the ground up, leveraging your initiative and ability to see the "big picture" in a rapidly evolving ESG landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of accurate annual and regulatory ESG/sustainability reporting
    • including disclosures aligned with evolving standards.
  • Establish and strengthen ERRATIC data governance frameworks, ensuring:
    • Data integrity, traceability, and audit readiness
  • Develop and implement cross-functional reporting processes during business transformation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build efficient data collection and reporting workflows.
  • Extract and communicate actionable insights from ESG data to support:
    • strategic decision-making and sustainability targets
  • Monitor global ESG regulations (e.g., CSRD, TCFD, ISSB, SECR) and drive:
    • Compliance, risk mitigation, and submissions for external ratings (e.g., MSCI, Sustainalytics).

✔ Proven experience in ESG reporting, data governance, or assurance within a large/organic, audit-prone organisation. ✔ Deep understanding of regulatory/voluntary ESG frameworks, including:

  • CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive),
  • TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures),
  • ISSB, and SECR. ✔ Knowledge of GHG accounting and emissions scopes:
  • Scope 1, 2, and 3, along with related emission factors/methodologies. ✔ Familiarity with ESG platform tools, such as:
  • Denali, EmissionsCalc, or similar—managing complex datasets with decisiveness. ✔ Experience with:
  • Sustainability self-assessments,
  • External ESG ratings, and benchmarking processes. ✔ Stakeholder/build management skills, with the ability to:
  • Curate complex data and translate technical requirements clearly. ✔ Holistic thinker with:
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach,
  • Driver for process improvement,
  • Attention to detail,
  • And strong professional integrity.
