Sustainability Specialist
Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Data & Reporting Analyst
Location: Bristol or Edinburgh (Hybrid)
About the Role
At Computershare, our Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) team is pivotal in delivering and supporting our global ESG and Net Zero programmes and commitments. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to kick-start or advance your ESG/sustainability career in a collaborative, global environment. You’ll join the central ESG team, working with diverse colleagues across functions and regions while gaining hands-on experience in data handling, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
This hands-on, multi-faceted role focuses primarily on Net Zero and carbon reduction activities and involves:
- Supporting the collection, organisation, and analysis of ESG data
- Assisting with key reporting tasks, including ESG/sustainability disclosures and carbon footprint reporting
- Collaborating with global teams to drive and support ESG/Net Zero initiatives
- Contributing to internal ESG communications and engagement, such as the Sustainability Champion network
- Facilitating meetings, networks, and ongoing Net Zero programmes
This role operates on an annual ESG calendar, but tasks may evolve rapidly—flexibility and adaptability are key!

What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for passionate early-career professionals eager to thrive in ESG and sustainability.
Key Requirements
You’ll need:
- A genuine interest in environmental management, sustainability, and ESG
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication skills—you’ll engage with stakeholders across the business, including senior leaders
- Quick ability to learn new concepts, systems, and reporting standards
- Adaptability to fast-paced, evolving priorities
- Precise attention to detail, particularly for data analysis and reporting
Technical & Knowledge-Based Prerequisites:
- Foundational understanding of environmental management and sustainability
- Proficient Excel and data-handling skills
- Familiarity with sustainability, ESG, or environmental topics (from education or experience)
- Skills in interpreting complex information and presenting it clearly
- Previous experience in a corporate environment, preferably in ESG, data handling, or a related field
- Ability to balance independent work with team-centric collaborations
