Job Summary
Job Title: SVP, Marketing & CMO
The SVP, Marketing & CMO reports to the Chief Customer and Revenue Officer and is accountable for driving Equinix's growth through a compelling marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s goals. This critical executive role leads end-to-end demand generation, focusing on digital awareness, brand preference, and audience-specific outreach to achieve commercial outcomes at global scale.
The marketing leader secures brand alignment across:
- Product & Solution Marketing
- Field & Partner Marketing
- Segment Marketing
- Content & Brand
- Digital marketing efforts
The objective is to accelerate revenue growth by enabling sales through account expansion and targeting new customer segments.
This leader relahtes to regional stakeholders, business unit leaders, sales, customer care, and revenue operations, translating strategy into revenue.

- Set and Drive Marketing Strategy
- Define & execute a bold, integrated marketing strategy that aligns with business priorities, accelerates growth, and positions Equinix for long-term competitive advantage.
- Execute Transformational Leadership
- Continuously evaluate performance against market trends and best practices, driving benchmarked improvements through:
- Aligning brand and messaging activities with emerging industry shifts and competitor strategies.
- Adjusting marketing investment priorities to balance near-term pain points with long-term growth objectives.
- Measure & Accountability Framework
- Establish performance targets tied to business outcomes, ensuring every marketing decision links to measurable ROI across channels.
- Align marketing expenditures to exact interplay with pipeline generation and revenue impact.
- Own & Govern Martech Stack
- Strategic guidance on all marketing technology investments, ensuring:
- Tools & integrations are future-proofed and optimized.
- Data and operations standards are consistently aligned across marketing platforms.

Targeted Compensation
Location: United States Annual Base Salary Range: $328,000 - $492,000
