Job Description
Develop high-quality software which:
- Meets requirements
- Promotes re-use of software components
- Facilitates ease of support
Core Responsibilities:

Diagnose, isolate, and implement remedies for system failures caused by errors in software code.

Identify and implement process improvements in Engineering practices.
-
Utilize software-based system maintenance and tracking tools.

Provide input and technical content for:
- Technical documentation
- User help materials
- Cross-functional training
-
Conduct unit tests, track problems, and implement changes to ensure adherence to:
- Test plans
- Functional/nonfunctional requirements
-
Analyze, design, and implement software mechanisms to improve:
- Code stability
- Performance
- Reusability
-
Participate and lead code review sessions.

Create high-fidelity estimates of work efforts on own projects and for others.

Assist in estimating task effort and dependencies, accountable for team Sprint commitments.

May lead and advise other Engineering resources as part of project activities.

Considered a subject matter expert in their chosen field.

Essential Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
-
4 to 6 years minimum experience in:
- Software design
- Software development
-
4 years minimum experience with preferred technology stack:
- .Net, .Net (Core), ASPNET, C# design/development
-
Windows-based application experience is mandatory (e.g., WPF).
-
SQL experience (can include MySQL).
-
Proficiency in XAML.
-
Experience with test frameworks and NuGet packages.
-
Experience with AI Development tools (Copilot, Cursor IDE, Windsurf) is a boon.
-
Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming and Windows programming.

Deep knowledge of Software Development and Quality Assurance best practices.
-
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
-
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
-
Familiarity with Continuous Improvement and coding best practices execution in development workflows.
Desirable Experience

- Experience in any Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model and preferably a strong background in Agile environments.
- Knowledge of software development standards and protocols.
- Familiarity with XFS (Exchange Financial Software) is a plus.
- Additional advantage if candidates have knowledge about ATM systems.
- Experience with key tools used in development:
- Jira
- Jenkins
- Subversion/GitHub
- NUnit
