Job Description
Swift is seeking a motivated Linux (RHEL) System Administrator Intern to support the modernization and maintenance of enterprise Linux infrastructure. The internship focuses on Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration, operating system upgrades, security patching, infrastructure automation, scripting, container management, and database migration.
The selected candidate will collaborate with experienced engineers while gaining hands-on experience managing enterprise Linux environments supporting global financial services.
Programming
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system upgrades.
- Apply Linux security patches and software updates.
- Maintain enterprise Linux servers and virtual machines.
- Inventory Linux processes, applications, databases, and containers.
- Create and manage Podman container images.
Recruitment & Staffing
- Build and maintain Linux container environments.
- Update and optimize Python, Shell, Perl, and PHP scripts.
- Troubleshoot Linux system administration issues.
- Support database migration activities.
- Maintain MariaDB and MySQL environments.
- Test Linux applications after system upgrades.
