Location: Croydon Purley Way | Type: Pool / Bank (Part-time) Salary: Up to £21.21 per hour (depending on experience) + benefits
In this flexible role, you’ll work on an ad-hoc basis, ensuring you fit the sessions around your availability to suit the business needs.

About the Role
The Swim Instructor delivers swimming lessons using our Swim England framework for swimmers from a wide range of ages and abilities. You’ll be encouraging progression, improving technique, and ensuring lessons are both effective and enjoyable.

As part of your development, you’ll deliver results with your lessons and collaborate with colleagues to enhance your teaching practices.
Key Responsibilities
As a Swim Instructor, you will:
- Engage and inspire swimmers of all ages to achieve their swimming goals
- Maximise every opportunity to help people learn new skills and overcome challenges
- Deliver one-to-one and group lessons with enthusiasm and patience
- Provide individualised instruction, adapting guidance to meet each person’s needs
- Demonstrate a positive, role-model attitude with a fun and energetic teaching approach
- Promote memberships by explaining the benefits of our facilities, helping customers find the right programs for them
Essential Requirements
- Qualified through an ASA Level 2 or Swim England Level 2 course
- A friendly, approachable personality with strong communication skills
- Enthusiasm for coaching and leading swimming lessons for children and adults
- The ability to adapt teaching to suit different ages and abilities
- Proven experience with teaching techniques (use of land drills and pool-based exercises)
