About the Role
If you love talking to people, this is the role for you. Engaging with customers and colleagues comes with experience, and while we provide all the training you need to succeed, we also welcome people from various backgrounds—some may be starting their first job and will need extra support.

As a Swim Teacher, your role will be to:
- Deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities
- Ensure everyone feels supported, achievable their goals, and progresses confidently

Hours: Casual, as and when needed.
Responsibilities
- Teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the leisure centre’s programme, following qualifications, training, and best practice
- Communicate with parents/guardians about their child’s development and advise on progression
- Supervise customers in and around the swimming pool, ensuring safety, discipline, and a positive experience
- Provide exceptional communication skills, working closely with customers and teams in a friendly, engaging way
- Works effectively with children and their families
- Maintains a welcoming, inclusive environment for all learners

Requirements
- Level 2 Swimming Teaching Qualification (or willingness to gain while employed—training provided)
- Enhanced DBS check (required for working with vulnerable groups)
- An ability to develop rapport with a diverse range of people and handle situations with sensitivity
- Genuine desire to help others and create positive experiences through swimming
