Location: Woughton Leisure Centre, Milton Keynes, MK6 5EJ
Salary: £16,869.33 (based on 24 hours per week) plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Permanent, Part-Time, 24 hours per week. Typical shifts include day-time and evening hours, with occasional weekends.

To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for a Swimming Coordinator to join our Team.
As a Swimming Coordinator in our Leisure team, you’ll lead and grow the swimming lesson programme, ensuring high-quality delivery while creating positive experiences for customers and the local community.
In this role, your work will have real purpose, supporting people of all ages to build confidence in the water, improving wellbeing, and strengthening community engagement. You’ll play a key part in shaping a programme that people trust, return to, and recommend, helping us create a positive impact that reaches far beyond the pool.
What you’ll do as a Swimming Coordinator
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Lead, manage and develop a team of qualified Swimming Teachers, including recruitment, rotas, performance and development
- Coordinate and grow the swimming lessons programme, introducing new sessions and courses to meet community needs
- Ensure high-quality delivery of lessons that encourage retention and repeat participation
- Build strong relationships with customers, schools and local partners to support outreach and programme growth
- Monitor performance through reporting and KPIs, using insight to improve customer experience and business performance
- Support operational delivery, including stepping in to teach lessons where required to maintain service levels
- Support with the marketing and promotion of the Swimming Lesson programme

Does this sound like you?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- A Swim England Level 2 or STA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification
- Experience managing or supervising teams within a leisure or aquatics environment
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build trust with customers
- Experience delivering or managing swimming lesson programmes and working with high customer volumes
- Confidence using IT systems and producing reports, alongside good communication and organisational skills
Vetting and checks
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
