About the Role: Inclusion Specialist

Our Inclusion Specialist will lead a new approach to teacher development, fostering expertise and confidence across the workforce. Acting as a poolside expert, this role involves:

  • Educating swimming teachers on inclusive delivery techniques to ensure all participants can thrive.
  • Promoting confidence-building while preventing isolation among staff.
  • Contributing to our mission of making learning and activities accessible and enjoyable for all.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • A deep understanding of the needs of individuals with disabilities.
  • A proven track record of delivering safe, enjoyable, and challenging swimming activities for disabled learners.
  • Experience in ** educating or mentoring others** (preferably in a water-based or inclusive environment).

Preferred Qualifications

  • SEQ Level 2 qualification (minimum standard, though higher levels are advantageous).
  • Lifesaving qualifications (e.g., NPLQ or NRASTC). While we value these, we’re happy to support motivated candidates in achieving them through our continuous learning programme.
