Swimming Teacher Level 2

Casual and Contracted positions available

£16.08 - £17.47 per hour (subject to 26/27 pay review)

Newton Abbot Leisure Centre

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Swimming Teacher to join our team!

You will plan and deliver engaging swimming lessons for all ages and skill levels, whilst ensuring all lessons are delivered to the Swim England standard.

We deliver swimming lessons during the day offering high quality lessons to the local primary schools, as well as after school and weekend lessons for our own Swim School.

We are looking for permanent, contracted teachers for the following lessons at Newton Abbot Leisure Centre:

  • Tuesday 16.00 - 18.00 Stages 2 & 3
  • Thursday 16.00 - 18.00 Stages 3 & 4
  • Friday 16.00 - 18.00 Non swimmers
  • Saturday 08.30 - 10.30 Non swimmers

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a love for teaching swimming and water safety.
  • Be able build a rapport and have good communication skills with swimmers and parents.
  • Be able to adapt your teaching style to meet the different needs of your swimmers.
  • Have a good knowledge of correct swimming techniques and creative teaching ideas.
