Switchboard Operator
Telephonist – Blackpool Teaching Hospital
The post will support the provision of a Comprehensive Telecommunications Service at Blackpool Hospitals.
About the Role
- The Telephonist will be based at the Blackpool Teaching Hospital.
- This role operates under a 24-hour/365-day shift pattern, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Essential to be a lone worker during evening and night shifts.
- Flexibility is key—shifts may change abruptly due to absences or holiday coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to an extensive telecommunications service for Blackpool Hospitals.
- Participate in a rotational shift pattern, adapting to working across weekends, public holidays, and evenings/night shifts.
- Telephone operators assist with daily communications, ensuring seamless service for both Trusted members and the general public.
- Collaborate within a strong team environment, despite occasional lone-work commitments.
