Symitar Engineer – Development Support

About the Role

  • Reports to: Domain Manager, Symitar Services
  • Functions Supervised: None

Primary Functions: Assists Product Development Teams in the engineering of Symitar development designed to achieve business outcomes.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participates in core feature and user story development, executing responsibilities and collaboratively working with Product Development Team members.
  • Designs Symitar solutions to meet technical requirements.
  • Draws on Symitar expertise to write and complete user stories and product features.
  • Applies design principles and best practices to develop robust product capabilities, following Symitar Services methodologies.
  • Actively assists other product team members with Symitar architecture, coding standards, and system-related challenges.
  • May review and verify the work of engineers or technicians.
  • Performs additional tasks as necessary to support team objectives.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering), BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering), or BSCS (Bachelor of Science in Computer Science)—or equivalent.

Experience/Alternative Education

  • Creditable experience in lieu of a degree with technical training or relevant work experience.

Experience & Skills

  • At least one year of professional experience on a Symitar development team (preferred).
  • At least one year of experience with:
    • Unit testing
    • Change and configuration management
    • Software development methodologies (preferred)
  • Familiarity with:
    • Agile and DevOps practices and methodologies
    • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
    • Operating systems, testing software applications and systems
    • Development/modeling tools
  • Demonstrates passion and willingness to adopt emerging technologies.

Salary Classification & Rewards

Promotions to Symitar Engineer I (Category 10), Symitar Engineer II (Category 09), Symitar Engineer III (Category 08), or Senior Symitar Engineer (Category 07) depend on:

  • Education or experience
  • Performance
  • Certifications
  • Requires management recommendation.

Compensation

Starting base salary based on experience, qualifications, education, and legal compliance with local/state wage laws:

Salary Pay Range 07 – $90,389 to $152,718 annually Salary Pay Range 08 – $79,989 to $132,798 annually Salary Pay Range 09 – $69,557 to $112,677 annually Salary Pay Range 10 – $63,233 to $99,908 annually
