Syndicate Accountant
Assistant Syndicate Reporting & Accounting Specialist

About the Role
To undertake regulatory and management reporting for certain Lloyd’s entities in support of the Head of Client Finance Director and Syndicate Finance Manager, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and timely preparations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and preparation of data, submission of all Lloyd’s Regulatory returns, including:
- Annual returns
- Quarterly returns
- US and Canadian Reporting (including schedules F&P)
- US and Canadian SIS
- Prepare Syndicate Management Accounts per requirements.
- Assist in:
- Planning and production of Syndicate annual report and accounts
- Development of management information and financial schedules
- Monthly and quarterly accounting information
- Contribute to the development of systems for syndicate reporting and data migration.
- Migrate key finance tasks to syndicate personnel and monitor accuracy of reported data.
- Liaise with syndicate staff, auditors, and actuaries as required.
- Manage ad hoc finance projects.

Requirements: Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
- Qualified (via professional accreditation or relevant experience) – essential.
- Familiarity with Lloyd’s reporting requirements, including:
- QMA/B returns
- US/Canadian Reporting
- Solvency II returns
- Sound knowledge of IT systems within Asta:
- Excel proficiency
- Experience with Vision and Sun Accounts.
