Systems Analyst
Location: London

We are a growing financial services firm seeking an ambitious Systems Analyst to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with a background in finance or accounting who is looking to build a career in technology, automation and business transformation.

The Opportunity
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will help identify operational challenges, design technology-driven solutions, and develop applications that improve productivity and support the firm's continued growth.
This is a unique role that combines financial understanding with modern technology, offering exposure to application development, automation, cloud technologies and process improvement within a fast-paced financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business users to understand operational processes and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
- Design, build and maintain internal applications that enhance business efficiency.
- Develop practical solutions using Python and Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Support and enhance existing applications while contributing to the development of new systems.
- Help implement automation initiatives across multiple business functions.
- Ensure applications are developed with appropriate documentation, governance and control frameworks.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Work closely with colleagues across finance, operations and technology to deliver business-critical projects.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve systems, workflows and user experience.

About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys both finance and technology and is excited by the opportunity to combine the two.
You'll ideally have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- A desire to move beyond a traditional finance career into technology and business transformation.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including building and deploying applications.
- Experience programming in Python or a similar language, with the ability to develop practical business solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The confidence to engage with business stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- An organised approach with excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive mindset and genuine enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
- The ability to work independently, take ownership and thrive in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly.
