About The Role

This partner-managed role is as a System Engineer (Compute Node) in the UK, focused on designing and operating the next-generation AI cloud infrastructure. You will work on large-scale virtualization, networking, storage, and cluster-scale scheduling, supporting tens of thousands of GPUs across multiple data centers.

The role combines low-level systems expertise with modern cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes and virtualization stacks. It’s an opportunity to build scalable AI infrastructure that impacts a global platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on virtualization layers, including orchestration, scheduling, and integration with high-performance networking and storage systems.
  • Develop and optimize systems using Kubernetes, including components for compute and workload orchestration.
  • Support and enhance virtualization technologies like KubeVirt (OpenShift Virtualization) and QEMU/KVM.
  • Deep dive into Linux internals for performance tuning, resource management, and system-level debugging.
  • Collaborate on integrating GPUs, DPUs, and high-performance acceleration hardware.
  • Build and maintain large-scale distributed systems across multiple regions and data centers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
