System Integration Testing
Title – SIT Tester Finance - Quality Engineer - Functional
Location: UK - Remote
Rate: GBP- 300 per day (Inside IR35)
MUST BE A UK Citizen with a minimum of 5 years residency in UK
Job Details
- Responsible for designing, preparing & executing System Integration Testing on the Synergy programme.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with business users to develop high-quality test scenarios and scripts
- Peer reviewing test assets
- Executing tests in line with the agreed SIT approach
- Supporting test execution, defect management and reporting
- Maintaining test traceability
- Applying risk-based priorities
- Updating RAID items
- Contributing to key deliverables such as scenario lists, scripts, defect logs, and lessons learned

About the Synergy Programme
The Synergy programme is to deliver a shared-services back-office HR, Finance and Payroll transformation as one solution to multiple government departments, modernising the employee experience for all 250,000 civil servant service users.
The diverse user group spans from High-Court Judges to Flood defence workers, Prison officers to Customs Officials, Jobcentre staff to Veterinary workers.
The scope includes transformation of all aspects of HR best practice, including performance management, knowledge, and skills.
Requirements

- Experience supporting and executing testing activities
- Ability to assist with test planning, test documentation, and coordination activities
- Understanding of test phases, test execution, and defect management processes
- Ability to maintain test traceability, track progress, and support administrative test tasks
- Experience with functional testing
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Clear communication skills for working with test teams and occasional business users
- Ability to provide simple, accurate test status reporting
- Understanding of ERP systems such as Oracle
- Experience using JIRA, Xray, or similar test management tools
