Global Systematic Equity Portfolio Management Support Specialist
Purpose of the Role
To initially provide investment support to the Global Systematic Equity portfolio management team, with a focus on:
- Decision support
- Portfolio and index analysis
- Process and system enhancement
- Ad hoc portfolio support
Upon reaching competency level, the role evolves to manage diverse passive equity funds, covering:
- Rebalancing
- Risk monitoring
- Exposure management
- Regional and global index-equity portfolio oversight

Key Responsibilities
Front-End Decision Support & Functionality
- Manage and optimise the index pipeline workflow
- Draft single-stock group trades for review
- Analyse upcoming corporate actions, proposing value-add or wealth-preservation strategies
- Update client-specific guidelines in portfolio management tools
- Maintain and update client restricted lists
Trade & Portfolio Execution
- Support the ETF basket process
- Build and review trade lists (stocks, FX, futures) for submission to investment managers
- Liasise with investment managers and index providers for deviations/alignments
Risk & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor portfolios against indices; track performance and risk exposure
- Generate custom client reports, performance attributions, and risk analytics
- Assess cash flows and optimise trading related to index rebalancing

- Collaborate with investment teams to enhance workflows and efficiency
- Build reports and presentations for internal governance committees

- Portfolio construction theory – traditional methods and modern techniques

Industry Edge
- Prefers 3+ years in financial institution roles (orange capital methods, algorithmic assets etc.)
- Undergraduate proficiencies: Accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or statistics.
Education & Experience
Preferred Qualification (Bachelor's level or above):
- Finance, Economics, Accountancy, Statistics/Analysis or Data Science
Experience Preference:
- 3+ years in a financial institution or finance-grounded sector
- Familiarity with index-tracking, passive ETFs, or equity portfolio administration is advantageous
