Systemic Family Psychotherapist – Adult Community Mental Health (ACMH) Services

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is investing in a range of psychological practitioner roles as part of its transformation work in community mental health. These roles will support the delivery of robust clinical pathways, ensuring timely access to high-quality, evidence-based psychological interventions for people and their families.

About the Role

We are developing clinical pathways across primary, secondary, crisis, and emergency care, with a strong focus on partnership working with statutory and VCSE (Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise) providers, as well as involving people with lived experience.

This post will play a crucial role in ensuring that community therapies pathways are effective, accessible across the adult population, and embedded within wider service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate systemic family therapy needs for individuals with mental health difficulties accessing our services
  • Supervise and teach staff, including student clinicians

The role will be based in Adult Community Mental Health (ACMH) services, with a negotiated work base. A presence in both the East and West will be required, and the postholder will work flexibly across all ACMH services as needed.
