Systems Administrator
About the Role
The Systems Administrator plays a key role in supporting Origin’s data and IT systems, ensuring they remain accurate, secure, and optimised. Combining data quality, user support, and system maintenance, the role underpins reliable and effective digital operations across the organisation.
What You’ll Do
- Work on varied data engineering projects, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Provide day-to-day systems / IT support, including user accounts, permissions, device setup, and routine maintenance.
- Troubleshoot issues, support users, and help keep systems secure, current, and performing well.
- Assist with building business intelligence analytics, data pipelines, documentation, and continuous improvement of digital processes, including the application of AI.
- Provide ad-hoc support for the Accounts team.

Skills & Experience
- Experience in data and system administration, IT support, or a similar role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Xero, and general SaaS administration.
- Confidence with troubleshooting, user support, routine IT maintenance, and access management.
- Good Excel and data handling skills, with an understanding of related regulations, cloud systems, and APIs.

- Data quality, processes, reporting, and documentation are improved over time, supporting better visibility and more informed business decisions.
- Core systems, user access, and data are well maintained, secure, and accurate, with issues resolved promptly and effectively.
- Colleagues receive clear, helpful support that improves decision-making, reduces friction, and keeps day-to-day operations running smoothly.
- The role contributes to continuous improvement by identifying practical opportunities to simplify, automate, and strengthen digital workflows, including the application of AI.
