Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Systems Administrator to join our engineering team, supporting our growing client base in the Miami area.
Systems Administrators are responsible for both onsite and remote client support, including heavy interaction with end-users across diverse computing environments. The role is challenging, working in an energetic, fast-moving, collaborative environment that demands results and delivers growth opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Analyze and document unfamiliar client/server/network environments and identify the most efficient path to address network-related incidents
- Perform rapid diagnostics for workstation/server-level incidents, demonstrating strong root cause analysis skills
- Adapt to diverse computing environments across a wide range of business verticals
- Develop and enforce client service standards based on Thrive’s best practices
- Troubleshoot independently at both server and network levels for complex technical challenges
- Provide technical consulting to clients regarding applications, Thrive’s best practices, and computing processes
- Serve as a technical mentor and leader for engineers in the department
- Identify opportunities in client environments for process improvements, capturing findings in central documentation
- Analyze recurring issues in the remote service center to establish permanent solutions through problem management
- Continually review security best practices to identify, propose, and implement proactive fixes for potential risks (Part of Change Management)
- Collaborate with the Team Lead to enact standardized operational procedures across the customer base for enhanced service delivery
Manage incidents such as: - Mail Application/Office 365 issues - Firewall issues (including SSLVPN, Site-to-Site VPN, access rules) - Backup/Disaster Recovery diagnostics and assessments to ensure data retention and uptime - Client/Server Connectivity challenges (as per SOP) - Data Restores (individual file and company-wide) - Remote Access incidents (**Citrix and Terminal Services) - Escalated issues from Systems Engineers

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Exceptional problem-solver with the ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate workloads effectively
- 6+ years of experience in desktop and/or server support
- Self-motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in designing network architectures, including LAN/WAN networking and Windows Servers
- Hands-on experience in:
- Troubleshooting network configurations
- Identifying and resolving hardware issues
- Addressing server hardware problems
- In-depth know-how of Microsoft Server and Workstation Technologies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Outstanding customer service orientation
- Ability to follow established processes while escalating questions or unclarified variables to management
- Willingness to work after-hours or on-call as required
Preferred Requirements
- CompTIA Net+ certification
- MCSE/MCITP (Server Administrator or equivalent) certification
- VCA/VCP certification
