Systems & Cloud Engineer
We’re on the lookout for a highly technical Systems & Cloud Engineer who is excellent in managing cloud solutions and implementing design practices for a prestigious US law firm in the heart of the City. This hands-on technical role, will help architect, secure, and operate the firm’s Azure platform while maintaining critical hybrid infrastructure services.
Salary to £70,000 Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days remote) Free in-office lunch once a week Monthly £100 employee contribution
Systems & Cloud Engineer Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver cloud infrastructure strategies that support business objectives across Azure, SaaS, and on-premises environments Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Azure landing zones, governance frameworks, networking, and multi-subscription architectures Deploy, manage, and optimise Azure IaaS and PaaS services, ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and operational excellence Lead cloud migration and modernisation initiatives, including assessment, planning, execution, and decommissioning of legacy infrastructure Design and support secure hybrid connectivity, networking, and identity services across Azure, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and on-premises environments Implement and maintain security, compliance, monitoring, and governance controls aligned with Zero Trust principles and organisational standards Provide technical leadership, escalation support, and operational oversight for core enterprise infrastructure, including VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP Drive infrastructure design, capacity planning, performance optimisation, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement Participate in an on-call rota and collaborate across teams to maintain service availability and resolve critical incidents

5+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating Microsoft Azure in an enterprise environment Experience operating in a highly regulated environment (Legal or Financial Servies) is essential Infrastructure-as-Code and automation experience (Terraform and/or equivalent; PowerShell scripting) Experience supporting Microsoft 365 services; familiarity with Purview concepts (eDiscovery, retention) strongly preferred Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and AI-enabled productivity/security concepts (e.g., Copilot) Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Terraform) preferred
