Systems Engineer – Defence, Aviation & Space

About the Role
Ready to make a real impact? As a Systems Engineer in our Defence – Aviation & Space team, you’ll shape and deliver critical cyber and IT solutions that power national security and mission success. Your work will enhance vital services—supporting communities, securing infrastructure, and driving progress in digital resilience.
Collaborating with customers, delivery teams, and stakeholders, you’ll synthesise technical requirements, troubleshoot, and design future-proof solutions tailored to complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be instrumental in:
- Contributing across the full systems engineering lifecycle, from concept to deployment in cyber and IT landscapes.
- Partnering with customers and delivery partners to systematically gather requirements, anticipate challenges, and refine technical approaches.
- Conducting business analysis, requirements elicitation, and stakeholder engagement to align solutions with evolving mission needs.
- Overseeing project delivery—planning, risk assessment, project packaging, and coordination of activities.
- Actively managing stakeholder relationships to ensure requirements are clear, feasible, and scalable, with a focus on delivering measurable positives.
- Documenting and evolving architectural and business design requirements for current and future projects.

What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a problem solver with:
✔ Proven experience in systems engineering, preferably within IT or telecommunications, with expertise in high-security or compliance-driven environments. ✔ Strong knowledge of project delivery methodologies, including experience with PRINCE2 and/or ITIL. ✔ Ability to anticipate system interdependencies, translate complex technical demands, and implement innovative solutions. ✔ Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working collaboratively to shape clear project parameters. ✔ A mindset that values purpose, integrity, and customer centricity.
Vetting and Security Candidates must hold or obtain UK Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance to be considered shortlisted.
