Systems Engineer

Systems Engineer

Key Responsibility: Coordination, support, management, and execution of Level 2 proactive and reactive maintenance to ensure continuously available services meeting Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance targets.

Security Clearance: This role requires a security clearance.


What You Will Do

Core Responsibilities

  • L1 Fault Management (FM) Activities

    • Proactive and reactive Level 1 incident management and fault resolution.
    • L1-FM level O&M of data & systems delivery solutions and services.
  • Uptime & Availability

    • Support Level 2 teams in achieving/exceeding network availability targets.
  • Troubleshooting & Diagostics

    • Prioritise faults/T trouble tickets against SLA/WLA.
    • Investigate alarms and system/network faults (root cause analysis).
  • Emergency Coordination

    • Work with cross-team resources to handle incidents; escalate to stakeholders (MSIP) if needed.
  • Performance Improvement

    • Participate in internal discussions to optimise network performance.
    • Provide impactful recommendations for grows.

What You Will Bring

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree in Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering (or equivalent experience).

Industry Experience

  • ** années 2-6** pratique de connaissances dans les domaines suivants:
    • IP/Data/Systems/ISP Enterprise

Preferred Skills

  • Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in *nix systems, Red Hat Linux, and associated technologies (e.g. satellite systems).
  • Network Protocols: In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, standard suites (such as ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, TFTP, DNS, HTTP, NTP).
  • Troubleshooting:
    • Expertise in resolving issues in complex environments involving:
      • DNS, RADIUS, NTP, DHCP (core ISP network technologies).
      • Multi-vendor server hardware (Oracle, HP, Cisco, NetApp, etc).
      • Unified/Hyperconverged infrastructure (Dell VxRail, Cisco UCS, etc).
  • Virtualization: Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi/VSAN, KVM.
  • Routing/Switching Protocols: Familiarity with load balancers and routing.
