Systems Engineer Role (L2 & L1-FM O&M) – Required Security Clearance

The Systems Engineer role ensures L2 proactive and reactive maintenance, coordinating fault management (L1-FM), incident resolution, and operational & maintenance (O&M) of data & systems delivery solutions to align with Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets.

⚠️ Security Clearance Required – This role mandates clearance entitlement.


What You Will Do

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage L1 Incident Management and Fault Management (L1-FM) support activities
  • Bedi responsible for L1-FM level O&M of data & system network availability
  • Work within defined system support guidelines to prioritise fault resolution per SLA/WLA
  • Conduct in-depth investigations of system/network alarms, faults, and root causes
  • Coordinate with multi-team stakeholders (including MSIP) during critical incidents
  • Engage in proactive discussions to improve network performance and propose recommendations

Daily Duties & Monitoring

  • Diagnose and resolve alarms, trouble tickets, and fault root causes
  • Collaborate with 2nd-level support teams to exceed network node availability targets
  • Document methodologies rigorously for fault resolution

What You Bring

  • Education:

    • Degree or equivalent experience in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
  • Experience:

    • 2–6 years of hands-on experience in IP/Data/System/ISP/Enterprise environments
    • Proven ability to interact with end-customers to ensure issue resolution
  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Strong working knowledge of *nix systems (including RedHat Linux and satellite networks)
    • Proficiency in TCP/IP and protocol suites (ARP, ICMP TCP/UDP, TFTP, DNS, HTTP, NTP)
    • Experience with troubleshooting complex server/network environments (focus on DNS, RADIUS, NTP, DHCP)
    • Hands-on experience with multi-vendor server platforms (Oracle, HP, Cisco, NetApp) and Unified/Hyperconverged systems (Dell VxRail, Cisco UCS)
    • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMWare ESXi/VSAN, KVM)
    • Beneficial understanding of network routing/switching protocols & load balancers
