Fire & Security Service Engineer
Location: North West London Salary: Up to £40,000
We are seeking an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to join our North West London team. The role is based remotely, so candidates must be within easy travelling distance to the area.
About the Role
Responsibilities include handling calls for maintenance (on-site or via telephone), troubleshooting and fixing faults, conducting preventative maintenance, recording site information, and managing spares. The role involves covering out-of-hours duties on rotation, commissioning small projects, ensuring audit compliance, and delivering training as needed.
Responsibilities
- Attend to maintenance calls (on-site or by telephone) as directed by team coordinators
- Rectify faults on first visit where possible
- Perform rolling preventative maintenance visits
- Collect and record site configuration data
- Maintain car stock (spares) levels
- Keep accurate and timely records
- Provide on-call coverage on a rotating basis
- Commission small projects when required
- Ensure audits of quality procedures are completed
- Train customers and colleagues as needed
- Undertake any additional tasks that arise

Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Strong electrical/mechanical background
- Experience with:
- Installing & servicing access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems
- Servicing fire alarm systems (preferably GENT-based)
- A relevant IT qualification and/or Electrical/Electronic qualification
- Broad technical IT knowledge (e.g., installing Windows operating systems, networking)
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to measure voltage and understand basic electrical principles
- Attention to detail for accurate paperwork and procedure adherence
- Strong teamwork and ability to thrive under pressure
- Commitment to a professional approach in all tasks
Additional Requirements
- Completion of the Security Screening process before starting
