The Role

As a Systems Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll join a growing and dynamic systems engineering team, delivering critical work across a major nuclear programme.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Delivering systems engineering activities, including:
    • Requirements engineering
    • System design
    • Integration planning
  • Supporting technical reviews and contributing to system development across the project lifecycle
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure integrated solutions
  • Managing requirements, assumptions, and risks to support successful project outcomes
  • Working as part of a specialist systems engineering team within a larger programme environment

This role is based across our Bristol or Warrington sites and includes a 37-hour workweek with hybrid working patterns available.

Essential Experience

  • Experience in:
    • Requirements engineering
    • Systems architecture
    • Interface management
    • Integration, verification, and validation
  • Demonstrable experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Understanding of the full engineering or project lifecycle
  • Experience supporting technical reviews and engineering governance processes
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools or structured systems engineering approaches

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • Awareness of systems engineering standards (e.g., International Council on Systems Engineering) is desirable

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain a Security Check (SC) clearance.
