Position: Systems Engineer
Type: Full-time
We are currently partnering with a prominent, independent specialist in complex systems integration and bespoke engineering. Our client provides mission-critical technology for high-stakes environments globally, focusing on large-scale infrastructure and operational network design.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join their technical team. This is a critical role for an engineer who excels at designing and deploying robust network solutions for demanding, complex environments.
The Role

Core Responsibilities:
- Engineering Authority: Act as an internal technical lead for selected systems, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of industry capabilities.
- Solution Design: Lead the design and development of value-added services, with a focus on virtualization, high-availability, and traffic optimization.
- Infrastructure Management: Contribute to the design and management of global network and connectivity infrastructure to ensure performance, security, and scalability.
- Project Delivery: Own the end-to-end process of investigating and resolving escalated technical issues and documenting new solutions for organizational rollout.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work alongside internal management teams to provide technical authority during client meetings and design demonstrations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
