Systems Engineer / MBSE / Aerospace

Remote but some expectation to travel to client site in Whiteley and Bath office

Customer-facing senior role supporting a nationally important Air Traffic Management (ATM) programme. The position involves leading systems engineering activities across complex, safety-critical infrastructure, working closely with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as an engineering lead and primary point of contact for defined solution areas
  • Translating high-level requirements into detailed system specifications (aligned to ISO 15288 / MBSE frameworks)
  • Leading and managing a small team to deliver against quality, schedule, and budget
  • Hands-on systems engineering (analysis, modelling, legacy system assessment, requirements traceability)
  • Engaging with stakeholders across multiple levels and contributing to client relationships and capability growth

  • 10+ years’ experience in systems engineering within regulated/safety-critical environments
  • Strong full lifecycle systems engineering knowledge (requirements, V&V, integration)
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and customer-facing experience
  • Experience with MBSE (SysML/UML) and systems integration

Desirable

  • Air Traffic Management experience
  • Tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect
  • INCOSE certification and/or Chartered Engineer status
