Systems Engineer
The Systems Engineer role is responsible for coordination, support, and management of L2 Level proactive and reactive maintenance activities to ensure services provided to customers are continuously available and meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels.
Security clearance is mandatory for this role.
What You Will Do
- L1-Fault Management Level Assurance Support Activities
- L1-Fault Management Level Incident Management
- Ensure L1-FM (Fault Management) level operation and maintenance of data & systems delivery solutions and services
- Support internal teams in meeting or exceeding data & system network availability targets
- Work within well-defined system support guidelines
- Prioritise faults to meet SLA/WLA (Workload Level Agreements)
- Conduct L1-FM level investigation of alarms & faults related to system/network problems
- Ensure an accurate working methodology is maintained
- Coordinate across all teams to handle emergencies, involving stakeholders (MSIP) when needed
- Manage alarms, trouble tickets, and troubleshoot L1-FM faults linked to system & network issues
- Actively participate in internal discussions to improve network performance and provide recommendations

What You Will Bring
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (or equivalent)
- 2–6 years of practical experience within IP/Data/System/ISP/Enterprise environments
- Strong interpersonal skills for handling customer queries and problem resolution
Technical Requirements
- Must-have knowledge of:
- Nix systems, RedHat Linux
- Associated satellite systems
- TCP/IP and standard protocol suites (ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, TFTP, DNS, HTTP, NTP, etc.)
- Preferred experience in:
- Troubleshooting complex server network environments
- ISP technologies (DNS, RADIUS, ISP, DHCP, NTP, etc.)
- Multi-vendor server hardware platforms (Oracle, HP, Cisco, NetApp, Dell VxRail, Cisco UCS, etc.)
- Unified/Hyperconverged infrastructure expertise
- Virtualisation technologies (VMWare ESXi/VSAN, KVM, etc.)
- Network routing/switching protocols and load balancers
