Role: Process Systems Engineer

Position Summary

As a Process Systems Engineer, you will join our site in Staverton and report to the Operational Manager. This role involves providing technical leadership as the product and system specialist, driving continuous improvements through optimising system performance and product quality. You’ll focus on strategic productivity, capacity solutions, and building operators’ capability.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Identify and deliver productivity and efficiency improvements using NCE tools (e.g., DMIAC/GSTD) to enhance product quality
  • Develop and deliver technical training in cerical chemistry, operational processes, and technology, while coaching and mentoring teams
  • Support Project Engineering initiatives and implement CWO-level engineering enhancements
  • Manage and support shift runs, ensuring product and process tests are executed effectively
  • Create and maintain factory system capacity and capability studies
  • Establish and document plant operating standards and provide cereal technology expertise
  • Maintain the Factory systems technical database and collaborate across CPUK, CPW, GMI, and Nestlé
  • Offer cross-plant technical support and engage in cross-functional product technology teams
  • Lead raw and packaging material processes within the factory

What You’ll Bring

  • A relevant engineering qualification) in electrical and automation, mechanical, chemical, or food science
  • Experience in process plant and process engineering
  • Proven experience in project delivery and stakeholder management
  • Desirable: Knowledge of raw and packaging materials used in breakfast cereal production
  • Understanding of Safety, Engineering, and Quality regulations
  • Desirable: Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
