Role Overview Join Fortinet, a global cybersecurity leader with over two decades of innovation, as we continue to shape the future of secure digital transformation. Our mission is to protect people, devices and data everywhere. We are seeking a Channel Systems Engineer based in Scotland to support partners and Channel Account Managers across the Scottish region.
This position is focused on strengthening partner capability, supporting channel-led opportunities and enabling partners to successfully position and deliver Fortinet solutions in Scotland. You will work closely with Channel Account Managers, distributors and key partners to drive technical engagement and long-term adoption of Fortinet technologies.
What You Will Do
- Act as the primary technical resource for Channel Account Managers and partners across Scotland.
- Deliver technical enablement, workshops and product updates to strengthen partner capability and readiness.
- Participate in partner meetings to explain Fortinet solutions, integrations and technical value.
- Assist partners in qualifying opportunities and aligning them with appropriate Fortinet architectures.
- Provide technical support during regional channel events, webinars, roadshows and partner programs.
- Deliver product demonstrations, whiteboarding sessions and light proof of concept support to help partners progress opportunities.
- Maintain working knowledge of Fortinet's portfolio, industry trends and emerging security technologies such as SASE, SD-WAN, cloud security and SOC solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams, distributors and partners to ensure successful technical outcomes.
- Support documentation and updates in Salesforce.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing by mentoring partners and colleagues on Fortinet technologies.

What We Are Looking For
- Experience in pre-sales engineering, technical consulting or a partner-facing technical role.
- Understanding of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals, including routing, switching, VPN, LAN/WAN and network security.
- Familiarity with modern security architectures such as SASE, SD-WAN, Zero Trust, SOC tools and cloud security.
- Working knowledge of DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP and common security protocols.
- Experience with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud is desirable.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with partners, distributors and internal teams.
- A collaborative mindset and a desire to contribute to a high-performing and inclusive team.
- Industry certifications (for example NSE, CISSP, CCNP) are a plus.
