We are open-minded and fearless in our approach to innovation. Together, we create technology to transform operations at sea, enabling people and the planet to thrive.
At Ocean Infinity, we challenge conventions and drive aging industries into the tech era. Our focus is on safety, equality, and education—not just within our doors, but responsibly shaping how we operate at sea. We prioritise environmental responsibility and a culture that thrives on courage, trust, and conscientiousness. Excellence, collaboration, and enthusiasm for building the next generation of marine technology shape who we are.
Joining us means being part of a team that disrupts traditional industries by blending technology and creativity. We are not your average workplace.
We seek a Systems Engineer to:
- Design, integrate, and deliver the next generation of marine robotic platforms
- Work across the full lifecycle—from concept and requirements capture to integration, verification, and deployment
- Combine systems thinking with hands-on engineering
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and operations teams
This role blends systems architecture, cross-disciplinary engineering, and operationally grounded delivery—ensuring systems work in real-world, demanding ocean environments.
What This Role Combines
- Systems architecture & requirements ownership – Defining interfaces, behaviours, and system-level design decisions
- Cross-disciplinary engineering – Bridging hardware, software, and operations to deliver cohesive systems
- Operationally grounded delivery – Validating designs through testing, trials, and iterative improvement

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Ensure alignment across engineering teams while reflecting real-world behaviours and operational needs
- Develop and maintain crucial system documentation (e.g., requirements sets, interfaces, design specs)
Decision & Trade Analysis
- Lead trade studies, requirement decompositions, and design evaluations, balancing feasibility, risk, and operational constraints
Lifecycle Delivery
- Support the entire product lifecycle, from concept to field deployment
- Contribute to integration, verification, validation, configuration control, and change management
Hands-On Work
- Participate in hardware/software integration, testing, and troubleshooting
