# Qualification Engineer – Systems Verification

As a Qualification Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in proving and delivering advanced, safety-critical technologies for the next generation of commercial and military aircraft. Your work will support high-profile programmes, demanding customers, and real-world aerospace performance where quality, precision, and reliability matter.

Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead system verification activities, including:
- System qualification (in-swimming, test campaigns, flight test support)
- Flight testing for critical aerospace systems
- Prepare clear, robust qualification plans, procedures, and reports to support programme milestones
- Support system certification and customer approval activities
- Ensure compliance with configuration control, review, and change management processes
- Contribute to estimates, task planning, and risk management activities
- Build trusted customer relationships through prompt, professional responses
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams and business functions
- Engage with external subcontract organisations, as required

Nature of the Role
- Site-based role (primary location: Fareham, UK)
- Potential to work from home (1 day per week, when applicable)
- Restricted to UK + EU nationals (due to project and security requirements)
Essential Qualifications & Experience
You must have: ✔ Experience preparing plans, procedures, and reports for qualification programmes, including:
- Environmental testing (e.g., temperature, humidity, vibration)
- EMC testing (DO-160G or equivalent military/civilian standards) ✔ A degree in (or equivalent professional qualification):
- Aerospace Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Computer Science
- (or a related discipline) ✔ Strong technical communication skills—ability to present complex information clearly (both written and verbal) ✔ Good interpersonal skills—collaborative, team-focused mindset ✔ Confident decision-making and sound engineering judgement ✔ Analytical and research skills, including:
- Data gathering
- Report compilation and preparation
- Finding key insights ✔ Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise effectively ✔ Ability to work independently while delivering to deadlines with minimal supervision ✔ Proficient in:
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Outlook & web browsers ✔ Intermediate technical knowledge of PC software and operating systems
