Systems Safety Specialist
Locations: Multiple locations (hybrid ~ 3 days a week on-site) Salary: Highly competitive & seniority dependant. Clearance: SC cleared or eligible for clearance.
A fast-growing European defence & security technology business, who develop autonomous systems and unmanned platforms, is hiring a Systems Safety Specialist to support safety-critical programmes from early concept through to certification.
Role Responsibility:
- Own & maintain hazard logs, safety requirements and safety assurance evidence
- Lead Functional Hazard Assessment & Functional Hazard Analysis activity and workshops
- Produce and contribute to safety cases and certification artefacts
- Deliver FMEA/FMECA, failure mode, criticality and maintainability inputs
- Support demonstrator / new product programmes.

What we're looking for:
- Proven systems safety background in aerospace, defence, UAS/UAV, automotive or other safety-critical domains
- Working knowledge of standards such as ARP4754A / ARP4761 & DEF STAN 00-056
- (Nice-to-have) ISO 26262 / IEC 61508
- Strong stakeholder skills, proven ability to influence engineering teams and programme leadership
