What's the role?

The Systems Specialist plays a crucial role within the Systems Team, supporting the organisation’s IT strategy by driving excellence, standardisation, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for owning and supporting a portfolio of systems across the business, including ERP, PLM, and departmental applications.

Acting as the primary point of contact, the specialist ensures system stability, integrity, and performance through effective lifecycle management, governance, and documentation of processes and standards. The role also provides expert guidance to stakeholders, promotes best practices, and ensures a consistent, high-quality approach to system management, with a strong focus on delivering value and maintaining high levels of user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support core business systems, including Sage X3 and Microsoft Business Central, managing user access, security, permissions, and licensing while ensuring system integrity and compliance.
  • Manage issue tracking and change request processes to ensure timely resolution and system stability.
  • Monitor system performance and execute daily operational tasks to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Establish clear communication channels with business stakeholders and act as a key point of contact for system-related matters.
  • Facilitate and support functional and cross-functional workshops to drive process adoption and standardisation.

What Are We Looking For

  • ERP System Administration (Preferably Business Central/Sage X3, PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Prioritise and manage incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution in line with agreed service levels and minimising impact on business operations.
  • Change Management; manage & enable the change management across all Stakeholders
  • Experience in documenting processes, specifications, policies, and standards
  • Experience of leading process change; proactive approach to developing and enhancing business processes
  • Analytical, structured problem-solver with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to balance operational realities with standardisation and control requirements.
