Systems Specialist - Pinnacle Pet Group
Systems Specialist (Sage) – Fixed Term (6 Months), Remote (UK)
About the Role
As Pinnacle Pet Group (PPG) continues to grow, we are seeking a Systems Specialist (Sage) to joined our People Team on a fixed term basis for 6 months. This remote (UK-based) role involves supporting Sage systems across PPG, PPUK, Viovet and Pet Protect. The ideal candidate will work with the data team to ensure accurate and consistent data across systems while preparing for potential future HRIS implementations. You will also maximise Sage’s utilisation while balancing commercial needs and future system investments.

Responsibilities

System Ownership & Compliance:
- Act as the subject matter expert for Sage in the People team, ensuring full operational, compliant, and optimal use of the system.
- Collaborate with People Administrators, Data, and IT teams to maintain consistent data collection, governance, and workflows.
- Lead a full data cleanse in preparation for an upcoming HRIS RFP.

System Optimisation & Automation:
- Optimise Sage configuration to reduce manual effort, support automation and digitalisation.
- Maintain workflows, batch processes, and scheduled system updates.
- Provide technical support to the People team, troubleshooting issues and enhancing user experience.

- Stakeholder Engagement & System Enhancement:
- Work with key stakeholders to map People systems, improve integrations, and deliver quick wins with commercial viability.
- Manage relationships with key system suppliers, support new modules, and contribute to regular and ad-hoc reporting.
- Ensure all outputs comply with data governance, regulatory, and confidentiality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with Sage People & HR systems, including:
- Systems maintenance, configuration, upgrades, and enhancements
- Familiarity with other HR platforms such as Kronos and Workday
- Strong focus on delivering the best user experience for colleagues across the business
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose elegant system solutions
- High attention to detail, exceptional organisation, and the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a delivery-focused mindset
- Experience working both individually and as part of a broader team
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
