Systems Support Technician
Salary
Up to GBP28,450 plus premium hours, overtime, and benefits. Realistic first-year OTE: GBP32k+

About the Role
Our Derby-based client is a market leader in providing innovative and bespoke integrated systems, offering high-quality services including Project Management and Implementation, Consultancy, and Software Development to blue-chip clients worldwide. Due to continued success and strategic growth, they are seeking to recruit Systems Support Technicians to join their established team of electrical and controls engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Join the growing System Support Department as a Systems Support Technician.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance and design and modification of existing SCADA, PLC, and associated subsystems.
- Provide 24-hour emergency call-out availability across sites nationwide.
- Work as part of a team to design, implement, and test control/integrated systems.
- Program a variety of PLCs using Ladder Logic, Function block, or Statement List methods.
- Program and configure SCADA software packages.
- Use programming languages including C, C++, C, VB, and VBA.
- Undertake IP network design and configuration.
- Design and test ELV electrical panels.

Requirements
- Full training will be provided to practical candidates with some experience or interest in engineering and technology.
- Must enjoy diagnosing and problem-solving while delivering the highest levels of customer service.
- Willing to travel throughout the UK, working nights on a regular basis (with premium rates).
- Full UK driving license and valid passport required (no criminal convictions due to security clearances required by airport authorities).
- Must be able to attain security clearance to work at UK airports.

Qualifications
- Qualified to NVQ, C and G, or HNC or above in a relevant electrical, electronic, or IT-related discipline.
- Applications will ONLY be considered for candidates either based in or able to relocate at short notice to the East Midlands region.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK with immediate effect.
