Systems Support & Training Advisor

A place to make a difference


Location Hybrid, initially 4 days a week reducing once fully trained, Peterborough

Salary £34,248 per annum (or salary sacrificed options for fully qualified candidates) Starting salary of £32,536 (5%) or £32,064 (10%) for developing skills, with clear progression to the full amount

Hours & Structure Permanent, 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday

As a Systems Support & Training Advisor, you’ll shape the systems and processes enabling our teams and contractors to deliver first-rate customer experiences. From system enhancements to transformation projects, your work plays a direct role in improving residential outcomes and community strength.


About the Role

You’ll lead the optimisation of critical systems, ensuring they align with our service delivery, are intuitive for users, and spur continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:

  • Guiding complex system upgrades and change initiatives
  • Providing hands-on technical support and training to colleagues and contractors
  • Identifying system/process inefficiencies and proposing actionable solutions
  • Collaborating with stakeholders for seamless implementation
  • Nurturing a culture of innovation focused on top-tier customer experiences

What You’ll Bring

Technical Expertise

  • Proficient with numeracy and IT operations, troubleshooting system issues efficiently.
  • Hands-on experience with incident/change/problem/release management.
  • Technical support background—experience guiding users and aligning with third-party suppliers.

Collaborative & Cognitive Skills

  • Strong communication, organisation, and priority-management prowess.
  • Adept at developing and deploying training to drive confident, system-driven workflows.
  • Solution-oriented, with acute problem-solving for technical/operational challenges.

Organisational Requirements

  • Pre-employment clearance: DBS checks and social media screening are mandatory before confirmation of employment.
