Role Overview
Omega are delighted to be supporting a leading avionics manufacturer in the recruitment of a Systems Verification & Qualification Engineer to join their engineering team in Fareham.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading aerospace organisation developing advanced avionics technology for commercial and military aircraft. The role is focused on the verification, qualification and testing of safety-critical systems, ensuring products meet demanding customer, regulatory and certification requirements prior to release.
Working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you will support products throughout the development lifecycle, playing a key role in proving system performance, demonstrating compliance and supporting certification activities.
Main Duties
- Develop and deliver verification and qualification strategies for avionics systems
- Produce test plans, procedures, technical reports and compliance documentation
- Support integration, environmental and system-level testing activities
- Analyse test results and investigate technical issues to support programme delivery
- Demonstrate compliance against customer, regulatory and certification requirements
- Work closely with software, electronics and mechanical engineering teams throughout development programmes
- Support system safety, risk and reliability activities
- Maintain verification evidence and requirements traceability
- Participate in customer reviews and technical discussions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering processes

Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Degree, HNC or HND qualified in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience working within aerospace, defence or another highly regulated engineering environment
- Strong experience in verification, validation, qualification or integration testing of complex engineering systems
- Experience developing test plans, test procedures, verification reports and compliance documentation
- Experience analysing test data and demonstrating compliance against customer or regulatory requirements
- Understanding of safety-critical systems and engineering lifecycle processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
