About the Team
The GSMA Industry Security Team serves as the mobile industry’s focal point for mobile network security. The team coordinates GSMA member security working groups, leads industry-wide security initiatives, and engages with global regulators to ensure security is both an enabler and not a barrier to next-generation mobile services.
Key security schemes managed by the team include:
- Telecommunications Information Sharing and Analysis Center (T-ISAC)
- Mobile Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure (CVD)
- Network Equipment Assurance Scheme (NESAS)
About the GSMA T-ISAC
The Telecommunications Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (T-ISAC) is a cybersecurity threat intelligence community for the telecommunication industry. Its purpose is to facilitate collaboration and intelligence sharing among mobile network operators (MNOs), mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs), and industry stakeholders.
The T-ISAC provides critical cyber threat intelligence to GSMA members, encouraging a trusted collaborative environment where stakeholders can proactively address cybersecurity threats. By engendering a shared mission, it improves the resilience of the mobile ecosystem against evolving cyber risks.

About the Role
As the Platform Software Engineer for T-ISAC, you will be responsible for engineering, operating, and continuously improving the platforms, tools, and integrations that empower the T-ISAC service.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Engineering & Development
- Design, develop, and maintain the T-ISAC platform, ensuring secure, scalable data workflows, automation capabilities, and collaboration tools to support threat intelligence sharing and enrichment.
- Service Reliability & Operations
- Lead on platform operations, ensuring high operational reliability through proactive monitoring, incident management, performance optimisation, and secure-by-design engineering.
- Integration & Interoperability
- Deliver and support APIs, data exchanges, and third-party integrations to enable secure, scalable intelligence sharing among members and industry partners.
- Platform Roadmap & Technical Strategy
- Shape the future evolution of the T-ISAC platform by defining future-state architecture, driving technical improvements, and evaluating emerging technologies.
- Security & Compliance
- Ensure robust security and compliance standards are upheld through secure engineering practices, automated controls, vulnerability management, and adherence to regulatory and governance frameworks.
- Collaboration & Community
- Foster close collaboration with members, analysts, security teams, and industry partners to enhance platform adoption, effectiveness, and overall community engagement.

About You
This is a ** specialised senior role** in cyber threat intelligence engineering. You thrive in a dynamic team environment and have the drive to bring innovative ideas to fruition—transforming them into impactful and well-delivered programmes.
Experience & Knowledge Required
- Demonstrated experience in the telecom industry, whether from working at/with operators, vendors, academia, or related organisations.
- Proficient knowledge and expertise in designing, building, and operating core platforms and infrastructure for scalable, reliable, secure, and efficient software delivery, particularly in areas such as:
- Intelligence
- Cybersecurity
- Data analytics (equivalent experience will be considered)
- Direct experience working with ISACs (Information Sharing and Analysis Centres) or similar collaboration platforms.
Essential Technical Skills
- Extensive hands-on experience building and implementing intelligence platforms (e.g., OpenCTI, MISP)
- Collaborative open-source tools: Use of these tools as part of analysis, research, and development processes
- Strong understanding of:
- Nation-state actors
- Cybercrime
- Hacktivism
- Advanced threat actor Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs)
- Field experience in cybersecurity intelligence (collection, analysis, and dissemination)
Preferable Skills
- Knowledge of mobile data protocols, including (but not limited to): SS7, MOTIF, HRN, IRSF, GTs, and mobile network services
- Understanding mobile network architectures and key threats to them
- Proficiency with frameworks/tools such as:
- MITRE ATT&CK
- MISP
- OpenCTI
- Metadata-driven analytical platforms (e.g., Meta, EclecticIQ)
- Participation in government/law enforcement COIs (Confidentiality of Interest)
