Your Responsibilities
Our Field Service Engineer role encompasses technical maintenance, customer support, and sales opportunities across Cambridge, London, and Oxford.
Core Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive servicing/maintenance of Cytiva systems on customer sites, including:
- Installing equipment
- Investigating and resolving technical problems
- Eliminating future operational or service difficulties
- Provide technical advice and training to customers, ensuring high-quality instrument usage.
- Organise preventive maintenance visits and proactively address customer needs.
- Strengthen communication, collaboration, and synergy with:
- Internal staff (EHS, sales, and field service teams)
- Cytiva’s Sales department to align on customer goals and support.
- Identify and spearhead opportunities to expand after-sales support business.
- Comply with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies within deadlines, completing required training.

Who You Are
Core Qualifications
A technical graduate or industry professional with skills in mechanical, electrical, or scientific fields.
Key Strengths:
- Rapid, parallel, and repeatable execution of maintenance tasks with precision under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive, continuous improvement mindset—consistently seeking to eliminate inefficiencies and waste.
- Resilience to adapt when challenges arise, while remaining collaborative and discerning when flexible responses are necessary.
Experience (a plus but not mandatory):
- Exposure to research or pharmaceutical industries.
- Customer-facing roles, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and problem-solving with end-users.

Travel, Logistics & Requirements
Essential:
- Valid travel passport (visa-free access to the European Union and the USA for work-related travel).
- Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight assignments across the region as required.
- Valid driver’s license capable of compliant vehicle and equipment manoeuvring.
- Ability to lift and move equipment within safety guidelines.
Hybrid Working Option:
The role allows for flexible/remote arrangements. Further information will be outlined during interviews.
