T3 Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester - Castleford

Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester – Full-Time

  • On-target earnings up to £41,200
    • Base salary: £35,000
    • Bonus scheme: Uncapped monthly bonus with average additional earnings of £6,200 per year

About the Role

Here at Halfords, we’re seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our team. If you’re an experienced mechanic with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring vehicles remain safe on the road, we’d love to hear from you.

As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Conducting MOT tests to DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) standards
  • Performing a wide range of vehicle maintenance and repair work, from diagnostics and repairs to routine servicing
  • Ensuring every task is completed to the highest possible standard

Skills & Experience

Qualifications & Licences

  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
  • Valid MOT Testing Licence
  • Full driving licence (no more than 9 penalty points)

No requirement for perfection – we’d love to hear from candidates who are motivated, willing to learn and confident in mechanics.
