Tactical Networks – Solution Lead / Expert
Holt Executive is delighted to be partnered with a global leader in secure communications, cyber, and network solutions. Our partner supports Government and Defence organisations around the world.
Our partner has an urgent requirement within its UK Government & Defence team to support current and future engagements across the Defence customer ecosystem, with a particular focus on Army and Land Tactical Networks.
The Tactical Networks – Solution Lead / Expert will be responsible for developing technical solutions that shape capture strategies and secure major programmes, primarily within the land tactical domain. This role will focus on engaging with senior Defence stakeholders to influence technical requirements, support capture activities, and develop winning solution and service designs.

Key Responsibilities for the Tactical Networks – Solution Lead / Expert
- Engage with Army HQ, Defence delivery teams, and industry partners to shape strategies for winning major land tactical network programmes.
- Work closely with internal Government and Defence teams to support capture planning and bid activities.
- Develop an understanding of customer requirements across the Defence Lines of Development (DLODs) and translate these into compelling technical solutions.
- Produce high-level technical architectures, solution concepts, and win themes that align engineering capabilities with customer requirements and business objectives.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the capture process, supporting bid reviews, customer engagement, and solution development.

Key Experience & Qualifications for the Tactical Networks – Solution Lead / Expert
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar technical leadership or solution engineering role.
- Engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience, including military service where applicable.
- Strong knowledge of DEFSTANs, STANAGs, and other relevant Defence standards.
- Good understanding of UK Defence acquisition programmes and procurement processes.
- Experience shaping customer requirements and supporting capture strategies for complex Defence programmes.
- Recent experience supporting Land Tactical programmes such as LE TacCIS, ASGARD, or LDC4.
- UK National with the ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.
